Documill is an independent software vendor (ISV), established in 1997 and based in Espoo, Finland. Documill's product offering focuses on enterprise document processing (Microsoft Office and PDF) in the context of document discovery, automation and reuse. The company's core capabilities include all the aspects of document parsing, processing, layout calculation, and rendering that are required in handling proprietary document formats and producing output whose quality compares to Microsoft and Adobe products.
Mika Könnölä, CEO & Founder
Mika is a serial entrepreneur who brings experience from international technology management and wireless software projects into Documill. Before rejoining Documill as the CEO in 2007, he held a senior product management position at Adobe. He sold his previous venture to Macromedia (later acquired by Adobe) in 2004. Prior to that, he was the CEO and founder of Capslock, a cross-Atlantic wireless venture sold to Reach-U in 2001. Before founding Capslock, Mika worked for Tieto. Mika holds a M.Sc from Helsinki University of Technology.
Terho Laakso, VP of Business Development
Terho has more than 20 years of management and sales experience in the IT industry. Before joining Documill, Terho held the IT Outsourcing Country Manager position at IBM. Before IBM he was the CEO and co-founder of Crevire, a wireless company sold to Reach-U in 2002. Terho holds a PhD from Helsinki University of Technology.
Rami Hänninen, Chief Software Architect & Founder
Before co-founding Documill, Rami worked as a consultant for leading technology companies in Finland and held a research position at Helsinki University of Technology. He has gained more than 15 years of experience in Java application design and engineering management. Rami holds a Lic.Sc from Helsinki University of Technology.
Pasi Nummisalo, CTO & Founder
Pasi has more than 15 years of experience in enterprise content processing and Java technology management in Finnish high-tech companies, such as Nokia. Pasi holds a M.Sc from Lappeenranta University of Technology.
Our product offering builds on a strong IP foundation, developed during the past 15 years. With our in-house document processing engine, we carry out super-scalable cluster deployments and build enterprise-level server systems. Our core engineering team has worked together in various software ventures since the mid-nineties, which makes it one of the most experienced teams of online solution innovators in Finland.
